We believe it is important for every resident to be offered a choice of activities to suit their wishes and abilities. These help to keep residents mobile and alert, and encourage them to take an interest in the people and the things happening around them.
To us this is so important, that we employ Social Activities Coordinators who offer a range of activities every morning and encourages residents to join in. In the afternoon, care staff organise other interesting things for residents to do.
Residents who want to record the important events in their lives are helped to complete a Life Story booklet.
We endeavour to enhance the quality of life within the home by conversing with, counselling and stimulating the residents.
Visiting entertainers provide regular in-house entertainment. All major events throughout the year such as Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Valentines, and VE Day are celebrated with parties and in other ways.
Armchair aerobics, games, discussions, music, hobbies, reading, quizzes, reminiscing, gardening are just a few of the activities on offer. We also have outings to theatres, gardens centres, pubs and shops for residents who enjoy going out.
